Making older rental properties more sustainable
Achmea intends to buy older rental properties with the aim of making them more sustainable. Achmea has committed to investing € 50 million in the new Achmea Dutch Residential Impact Fund (ADRIF), which is managed by its subsidiary Achmea Real Estate.

Successful issuance € 300 million restricted Tier 1 securities by Achmea Group.
Spanish and Romanian markets
Achmea enters the Spanish and Romanian markets with online insurance.
Personal online environment for clients with an injury claims
Achmea Personenschade (personal injury) launches personal online environment for 30,000 clients with an injury claims.
Issuance green bonds by Achmea Bank
Successful issuance of € 500 million senior preferred green bonds by Achmea Bank.
Signing of agreement framework for social debt collection
Achmea signs the agreement framework for social debt collection (afsprakenkader sociaal incasseren) with 28 public and private parties. This approach helps prevent small payment arrears from escalating into (problematic) debt.
Buy-out pension liabilities FrieslandCampina
Achmea acquires pension liabilities (€ 1.5 billion) from FrieslandCampina through a buy‑out.
Pioneering role Zilveren Kruis in Supplementary Care and Welfare Agreement
Zilveren Kruis plays a pioneering role in the recently concluded Supplementary Care and Welfare Agreement (Aanvullend Zorg- en Welzijnsakkoord ) with all parties in the healthcare sector and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
Achmea introduces Microsoft Copilot for all Achmea employees

Phase-out of Achmea Pension Services
Achmea announces phase out of Achmea Pension Services (APS). After APS has supported its pension fund clients in transitioning to the new pension system the services to these external clients will be phased out. APS will continue to serve Achmea brands, including Centraal Beheer APF.

Strategic partnership Zilveren Kruis and KNVB
Zilveren Kruis enters into a five‑year strategic partnership with the KNVB football association to make mental health problems a topic of open discussion on and around the football fiield.

Documentary De Buurtrechter
The documentary De Buurtrechter, broadcast on NPO2, shows how judges and Achmea work together in the Venserpolder neighbourhood in Amsterdam to help people with payment difficulties.
Launch private equity impact fund Healthy People & Planet 2025
Achmea Investment Management launches the private equity impact fund Healthy People & Planet 2025 (€ 250 million) for institutional investors. The fund focuses on climate, biodiversity, nutrition and health. Investments will begin in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Premium differentiation based on gender
In August, the Netherlands Institute for Human Rights ruled that premium differentiation based on gender is not permitted for group disability insurance policies. Achmea is actively following up on this ruling and is working with the sector to assess its implications.

Strategic partnership Achmea and Sixth Street
Achmea and Sixth Street have formed a strategic partnership under the name Achmea Pensioen & Levensverzekeringen N.V., which operates as a top three player in the Dutch pension and life insurance market and is well positioned to seize opportunities for growth in pension buy-outs.

New collective labour agreement
Achmea concludes a new collective labour agreement (CLA) for 2025–2027
Issuance of perpetual Restricted Tier 1 securities
Successful issuance of perpetual Restricted Tier 1 securities totalling € 300 million by Achmea B.V. This was combined with the repurchase of € 300 million in outstanding Tier 2 bonds.
Achmea Bank issued soft bullet covered bonds
Throughout the year, Achmea Bank issued soft bullet covered bonds on four occasions, with a total value of € 2 billion.
Partner of the new Financially Healthy Netherlands Foundation
Achmea becomes a partner of the new Financially Healthy Netherlands Foundation (Stichting Financieel Gezond Nederland (SFGN)). SFGN was created through the merger of SchuldenlabNL ((a national debt‑prevention initiative) and the National Coalition for Financial Health (Nationale Coalitie Financiële Gezondheid (NCFG)), bringing together public and private organisations to work jointly towards a financially healthy Netherlands.

Achmea presents its strategic choices that will determine its future profile and ambitious financial and non-financial objectives for 2030 under the name Achmea Next Level.
