Achmea has developed an Ethical Framework for Data-Driven Decision-Making. This framework helps prevent discrimination, exclusion, and unfair treatment of our customers.
We do not invest in companies or countries that systematically violate internationally recognised human rights.
Achmea has committed to contributing 0.5% of its net profit annually, for an indefinite period, to the Achmea Foundation.

Social inclusion Promoting
Visible measures to promote inclusion include the introduction of quiet rooms, relaxation spaces and prayer rooms at all locations, improved accessibility of facilities, and a stronger focus on diversity in recruitment. Diversity criteria have been integrated into the appointment process for senior management, the Executive Board, and the Supervisory Board.
Looking ahead, we plan to increase diversity in hiring, monitor progress more closely, and include questions about inclusion in exit interviews. This will help us gain a better understanding of how employees experience and value diversity and inclusion within Achmea.

Financial Concerns
When people face financial difficulties, we work with our partners to find solutions that are appropriate for everyone. Together with organisations such as Geldfit, SchuldHulp, the Krediet Herstel Plan, the Dutch Foundation for Financial Health (Stichting Financiële Gezondheid Nederland) and neighbourhood courts, we help prevent debts from escalating and ensure that financial problems remain manageable.
We also support Stichting Lef. Around 500 Achmea employees volunteer part of their time to teach financial literacy lessons in schools. They help young people learn how to manage money wisely, make informed decisions about saving and spending, and understand the importance of planning for retirement.
