Enhanced biodiversity
Although we are limited in the direct impact we can have on biodiversity, we do believe it is essential to contribute to ecosystem restoration. We have therefore implemented targeted measures at our Apeldoorn, Tilburg and Zeist sites, such as:
- Constructing a water reservoir
- Insect hotels, flowery borders and various mowing policies
- Native tree and shrub plantings
- Pruning waste remains on site
Since 2024, we have been applying nature-friendly management techniques to these sites. This is based on the nature that is already present at the site, and the effects of the measures taken and ecological maintenance are monitored annually. We do this on the basis of a biodiversity scan with which we follow the development of 6 different flora and fauna categories, including plant species, bird species and bees, wasps and hoverflies.
