Energy-efficient buildings
We are improving the sustainability of our premises through measures such as:
- LED lighting
- Heat pumps and TES systems
- Solar panels and solar water heaters
- Energy management systems
Our goal is for the Apeldoorn location to be energy neutral by 2026 and the Leeuwarden and Tilburg locations by 2030. Specifically, this means that all building-related energy will be generated locally and sustainably.
Achmea is a member of the Dutch Green Building Council's Paris Proof Commitment. All of the company’s own properties (Apeldoorn, Tilburg and Leeuwarden) will meet this commitment by no later than 2030. Objective: a 73% reduction of building carbon emissions (compared to 2019) by 2030.
