Within our IT chain, the energy consumption of cloud and data centers plays an important role in our ambition to operate climate-neutral by 2030.

How do we aim to achieve this?
- Use of carbon neutral infrastructure: wherever possible, we select suppliers with demonstrable ambitions for climate neutrality by 2030, preferably EcoVadis certified.
- Reducing energy consumption: we strive for 'platform engineering' to optimize our cloud workloads, including through cloud architecture and smart capacity planning. We manage this with KPIs and emission dashboards.
- Transparency and accountability: we ask suppliers to provide insight into their energy and emissions profile. If there is no concrete roadmap to 2030, we ask for improvement or reconsider the collaboration. We evaluate progress annually.
